This October to May in Goa is the perfect time to Hit the beaches and try a spin in one of our professional rafts in the waves of ARAMBOL BEACH , North Goa! The Rafting trips are operated by Southern River Adventures and Sports Pvt Ltd., which has been the pioneering Rafting Company in South India. Run by an Englishman, John Pollard, who has had 25 years of Rafting experience all over the world without any major accidents, it won’t be wrong to say that our Rafting is ‘Safer Than The Bus’!

1. At what times?

2. How many trips per day?
GoaRafting offers 4 terrific Sea Rafting trips a day!

3. How can I be sure to get a spot on the slot I want?
By pre-booking and paying in advance, your preferred slot is always guaranteed.

4. How do I pay?
You can pay by card in advance, card at site, netbanking or cash.

5. Are there any extra fees that I may have to pay at the site?
No. You do not have to pay anything extra for the rafting trip that you have pre-booked and paid for. However, it is advisable to carry some money for any additional activities that you may wish to indulge in besides Rafting, like video recording your trip, eating lunch before or after the trip and so on.

6. Should I print a receipt to show the tour guide?
We require a booking reference or receipt copy either on the mobile or printed for us to be sure you have a paid booking.

7. How much does it cost to do a private tour?
Please contact us to get the latest information on your desired trip.

 

8. What should I bring on the river?
Please bring secure footwear. Slippers are neither advised nor allowed.
Additionally, please carry a towel and a change of clothes for after the trip.

9. Can we go Sea Rafting if it rains?
Absolutely. That would be even more fun! However if the lifeguards have closed the beaches for swimming or there are storm warnings, which is very unlikely during the Sea Rafting season, we will be running.

10. What is the age limit for rafting?
10 years and above. Do need to be accompanied by adult

11. What should I bring on SEA RAFTING trip?
Slippers or shoes are not needed on the boat but to walk across the beach it may be advisable.
Additionally, please carry a towel and a change of clothes for after the trip

12. What type of clothing should I wear?
The most recommended clothing would be Swimwear or Swimsuit, followed by an outfit like T-Shirt and Shorts or Tights. Salwar Kameez is acceptable but not ideal (Short Kurtas would be more advisable than long Kurtas).
Loose or Baggy Clothing and Saris or Veils are not allowed from the safety perspective

13. Can I come for SEA Rafting if I cannot swim or have a fear of water?
It is not necessary to swim for Sea Rafting. We are in relatively shallow water by the shoreline and even if you go into deep water we provide everyone with lifejackets.

14. Will I get wet?
Yes, you will get soaking wet! Be ready to greet some happy, bouncy waves. The whole idea is to get wet!

15. How fit do I need to be?
Moderate level of fitness is adequate for our trip. However, anybody weighing over 120 kg may not be permitted if they are too large for the life jacket.

16. Which health problems or conditions may prevent me from SEA Rafting?
In the interest of safety, we discourage pregnant ladies, people with severe disabilities & back problems, and heart patients to come for Rafting. However, please call us to provide exact details of your condition so that we are better informed and can cautiously decide on your participation.

17. What facilities are at the Meeting Place?
For your convenience, GoaRafting team has carefully looked into all the essential facilities that you may want at the Meeting Place. This includes the availability of toilets, changing rooms, car park, and a reception area to brief the guests before departure.

18. Can I drink alcohol before Rafting?
No. Alcohol consumption before the trip is strictly not allowed. You will also sign an indemnity bond before departing for the trip, to declare that you are ‘not under the influence of alcohol’. This is in the interest of the safety of all the guests.

20. What is the cancellation policy?
If you cancel less than 48 hours before the trip, then we will be able to process a 50% refund. However, in case you don’t show up or cancel less than 24 hours prior to the trip departure, then no refund can be availed.
We also recommend that you call us to explore the possibility of rescheduling your trip instead of cancelling!
