The festival was inaugurated on Thursday evening at the hands of Mr. Parimal Rai, IAS, Hon‘ble Chief Secretary of Goa in the distinguished presence of Mr. Daulat Hawaldar, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary Finance, Govt. of Goa ,Mr. J Ashok Kumar, IAS, Secretary Tourism,Govt. of Goa, Mr. Sanjiv Gadkar, Director ,Department of Tourism and host of dignitaries and officials.
Various events including drawing and photography competitions on heritage themes, heritage walks etc are scheduled to be held during the event that will conclude on Sunday. Exhibition and display on handicrafts and books, food stalls and beverages are also a big draw for tourists and locals.
The festival will go on for four days to promote goan heritage.
